- P0304 and p130a codes set. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0304 indicates a misfire in the engine's number four cylinder. This happens when the air-fuel mixture in that cylinder does not combust properly, leading to symptoms like a rough idle, reduced engine power, and a lit check engine light. Common causes include issues with the spark plug, ignition coil, or fuel injector for cylinder 4, though mechanical problems can also be the culprit. P130A is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that indicates excessive engine misfires, causing the Engine Control Module (ECM) to disable a fuel injector to prevent damage to the catalytic converter. This "hide cylinder" event is a protective measure for a cylinder that is misfiring too frequently. Technician swapped cylinder 4 and cylinder 3 ignition coil. Misfire followed ignition coil to cylinder 3 indicating a faulty ignition coil. Replacement of 1 ignition coil required.
